這首《I Will Survive》原唱是Gloria Gaynor﹝1978﹞，上面這個版本是美國團Cake 的版本，收錄在1996年《Fashion Nugget》這張專輯。

不管是電視電影裡，還是現實生活中，男同志對《I Will Survive》這首歌似乎特別有感情。很多描述女人心事的歌，都深受男同志的歡迎，所以他們非常擁戴Gloria Gaynor，還有張惠妹﹝他們都搶在我們之前在心上用力地開一槍﹞。

這首歌之所以瘋狂地被傳唱﹝《沙漠妖姬》居功厥偉﹞，在於歌詞主角被重傷之後的勇敢讓人十分激賞。所以各位被重傷的姊姊妹妹們，請一起大聲唱這首《I Will Survive》，讓我們跟著主角一起欲火重生吧！
